I wanted to talk to you about the recent issues with our website. Over the past week, you might have noticed the following issues:
- Slower load times
- Assets not loading
- Error 522
I apologize if any of these issues have inconvenienced you. I have been working hard to resolve these issues and improve the site overall. With that said, the problems were caused by a few things that have since been resolved. The first issue was caused by a CPU and memory leak of another virtual server hosted on the same server. This made the server pull more RAM and CPU than was allocated to it to run away from the resourced websites. I have since patched the issue.
The network equipment caused another issue for the servers. An update was pushed out, which led to DNS resolution issues within my network and an update patch to fix that issue. Alongside this, the server ISP was having some problems leading to complete network outages.
The last issue occurred with our website caching/security provider, Cloudflare. They had a few problems with their caching server network. They were able to resolve this issue yesterday fully.
TLDR: We had some technical issues over the past week. They have all been resolved, so the site is working better than before. We are now compliant with the GDPR and CCPA privacy and cookie laws.
